Which companies raise their dividend every year?
A dividend raised through recessions, rate shocks and bad years is a promise a board has kept at real cost. Long runs of increases point to steady cash generation and a management that treats the payout as a commitment.

How to read this page
How it’s measured. Regular dividends per share by calendar year, adjusted for splits, for S&P 500 companies. A year counts as a raise if the year’s total or the year-end rate is higher than the year before. Special dividends are left out.
Sources. Dividend records from Financial Modeling Prep.
Runs are counted from the dividend history we hold; where it starts, a run is shown with a plus sign. Companies formed by spin-offs or mergers can show shorter runs than their official records.
A long run does not guarantee the next raise. Payout above 100% of earnings means the dividend is not covered by profits.
