How to read this page
How it’s measured. Cash yield is the last twelve months of free cash flow divided by market value. Banks, insurers and real estate are left out because free cash flow does not describe them well.
Sources. Daily prices and company financial statements from Financial Modeling Prep.
Free cash flow is operating cash flow minus capital spending over the last twelve months. A single strong year can flatter the yield, so check the cash-flow growth and margin beside it.
Valuation describes the price you pay today. It is not a timing signal, and cheap stocks can stay cheap.
