Which stocks are priced for perfection?
A high valuation is a bet that strong growth will continue for years. When it does, the price can keep rising; when it stumbles, the fall can be fast. Knowing which stocks carry the highest expectations shows where disappointment would hurt most.

How to read this page
How it’s measured. Price to next year’s expected earnings and enterprise value to the past year’s sales, each ranked across S&P 500 companies worth $10 billion or more and averaged. Companies expected to lose money next year are left out.
Sources. Daily prices, company financial statements and analysts’ estimates and ratings from Financial Modeling Prep.
Enterprise value is market value plus debt minus cash, so it compares fairly across companies with different balance sheets. Forward earnings are the analyst consensus.
High valuations can persist for years in great businesses. They describe how much is expected, not when a price will fall.
