What are gold, oil and bitcoin doing?
Gold, oil and bitcoin often move for reasons stocks don’t: inflation, war, the dollar, or simple fear. Watching them alongside the stock market shows what investors are hedging against and where money goes when it leaves equities.

How to read this page
How it’s measured. Each asset is followed through a widely held fund. Scores compare the past three months’ move with the fund’s own last five years, or its life if shorter; 100 is the strongest run.
Sources. Daily prices from Financial Modeling Prep.
Funds stand in for the assets: GLD for gold, USO for oil futures, IBIT and ETHA for bitcoin and ether. Futures-based funds like USO can lag the spot price over time because of the cost of rolling contracts.
Miners and producers are companies, so they add stock-market and company risk to the commodity’s own moves.
